tek is "playing with himself"

this is my tribute to eric clapton's classic "sunshine of your love", which i obviously messed up. i used the following instruments here: a fender 57ri stratocaster for the lead, a standard fender telecaster for the rhythm, a 60th anniversary issue fender jazz bass, and a standard pearl drum kit for the percussions. for the guitar effects, i used a digitech bad monkey plugged in a marshall valvaste. i used a flip ultra hd for the video and tied all the footage together using sony vegas hd. thanks for watching!

bazaar love triangle

this day being a holiday (bonifacio day), cathy, frances and i went to "st. james great christmas bazaar" in alabang to do some shopping. it was really REALLY hot and humid in the place and parking was so bad. but frances got a free item from this really cool store, cathy got a few stuff, and i stared at the lovely ladies in the bazzar. so it was all worth it, hehehe.

the other night, i couldn't sleep. i had like a weird, smelly bad dream. so i placed a camera in our master's bedroom to try and capture what was going on while cathy and i are asleep. this is the footage of that creepy night.

my stratocaster's string broke and figured i use my old telecaster thats been locked inside its case. went to the mall, bought new strings, cathy tagged along and went shoe shopping, got home, re-strung the tele and made a quick tribute to one of robert smith's immortal songs. enjoy.

frances, cathy and i watched "despicable me", possibly the second best movie ive seen this year ("inception" being the first). did some quick shopping, went home and spent some time goofing around in the living room. frances and i did our best to distract cathy as she played her favorite game, "plants versus zombies". hope you guys like the impromptu song frances and i made.

how we spent the national heroes day long weekend

frances was having on and off fevers for the last few days, we had to admit her because she wasnt getting any better. she was diagnosed with pharyngitis with dehydration. and thats how we spent the long weekend. next week we will have our revenge!

a night with robert smith and the cure

grandmas and unlocked bikes in japan

during my vacation in japan last april, i noticed that people don't lock their bikes when they park it outdoors, at all. bicycles are pretty much just left there unguarded and unsecured. and being from manila, i just found that absolutely amazing! not only that, most of the people who do ride bikes are usually old people. the old lady in this video must be at least in her seventies, and yet she rides her bike to buy stuff in the grocery. "sugoi desu ne!"

coheed and cambria live in manila baby!

COHEED AND CAMBRIA BABY!!! this group has got to be one of the most awesome progressive rock bands ever! even after watching this video i still have trouble believing that they actually came to manila and played this mind blowing concert. this vlog features highlights of that event and is for all of those who shared the surreal moment that unforgettable friday night at the A venue in makati city. crazy hungry koi fishes at nuvali!

cathy, frances and i spending a nice saturday morning in nuvali sta rosa laguna. frances had a fun time feeding fish in the nearby pond. when we got home we watched "L - save the world", the spin off of the popular japanese television series "death note". frances did a parody of "L" while she was watching the dvd.

flip ultra hd audio test

this is my very first video. its me testing the flip ultra hd camcorder. i used a '57 reissue fender stratocaster with a marshall valvestate and a digitech tube overdrive. basically the camera was on a tripod about 3 feet away from the amp. the result was actually great (way better than the kodak zxi). there were hissy noises and this weird robotic sound in the audio when i tried editing it in windows movie maker for xp. the video quality on the other hand was not as nice because i was against the light. its still a good camera for $200 though. more tests soon.
